Ken's Biography

From the life and pen of Ken Verheecke (a Native-American Yu'pik Eskimo) comes forth the call of his heart... "to lift high the name of the Lord.  To declare God's exploits and to worship and adore God's awesome wonder."  Since 1991 this has been Ken's passion.

"Within each heart and life are deep internal motivations. We are driven to express... to communicate... to move to the rhythm of a passion to know and be known. We have been given an ability to think and dream and engage all that is around us... but yet there is a longing for a meaningful interaction with a world that is seemingly beyond our grasp. So begins the journey of the heart... desperate to build a relationship with God.

The songs featured upon my CD releases are mile marker moments within this journey. They are intersections of time when I was moved to express an experience... be it a celebration or a moment of sadness it is all sincere and honest... it is my journey. I hope as you listen to these songs... that you will be encouraged in your journey and that you are ultimately able to find your way into God's eternal embrace" says Ken.

Born in Rantoul, IL and now residing in Rapid City, SD Ken travels the nation encouraging others to be God's hand extended in the great commission.  "May we love God with all our heart, soul, mind and strength... as well as loving our neighbor as ourselves."  Ken notes from Mark 12:30.

Ken has released several solo recordings since 1993, and after selling nearly 20,000 recordings, Heartcall Music is proud to announce the January 2007 release of “Overview.” It is a collection of songs taken from Ken's releases from 2000 thru 2006.

"What I hope to accomplish through this music is to provide a moment within your day to experience a measure peace and within that intersection of time may we learn to appreciate the gift of life. May God bless you comfort & rest." Ken Verheecke

Concert Host Comment

"For the last 10 years I have invited Ken to come year after year because I want my students to be exposed to a humble, Godly man who loves Jesus and lives what he believes and sings about.  Ken always brings something new in song or story that demonstrates a vibrant growing relationship with his Master.  His sincerity and passion are endearing and contagious.”
