In case you missed the State of the Union

I'll give you the talking points in a nutshell.

1. All the US's problems are Bush's fault.
2. Obama's policies so far have made things better, not worse. So if you're still hurting or upset, see point 1.
3. Obama is a fiscal conservative who was only forced into spending an extra trillion in debt because of Bush.
4. Obama is going to pull the troops out of Iraq within the year.
5. Obama is going to repeal Don't ask Don't tell someday.
6. America is lucky to have Obama as president because he's never, ever been more hopeful for the future of America than he is right now.
7. If you have any other complaints, see #1.

As a person... Obama is most likely a good person. He's likable and charismatic... but he's not a leader. He lacks leadership qualities and his agenda is too far left... too extreme.

Even though Clinton had many faults... he knew how to govern and moved to the center to lead the nation. The economy was strong, our dollar was strong and he got the message and ended doing a decent job with some of the basic interests of the people... having a job, and securing the economy. Of course he wasn't perfect... but who is?

Obama... again, very likable... charismatic... but sadly is not a leader. He's never governed... was barely in the Senate... who btw was hardly ever present for voting. He wrote a couple of books, but never really govern, and... has not lead anything of this magnitude... a Nation and it's people.

It's my thought that folks are starting to understand this and are fooled anymore.

Couldn't bear to watch. I value my blood pressure these days. Watched the Nuggets come from behind to whoop the Rockets instead.

Oh, and I'd take Clinton ANY day over OneBigA**MistakeAmerica

Also... just wanted to add this. I think the "blame" game is wearing thin... at some point, this has to stop. I feel a competent leader would never blame a previous administration.

Consider Bush's response to Obama's Presidency... "He deserves my silence." Much more classy in my view...

Somebody should go find the old sign that used to rest on the Presidential desk of Truman that read "The Buck Stops Here."

Regarding Clinton, I'd love to have those 8 years again. That said, I don't think the success of the economy was all that much to do with Clinton's policies as it was to do with the success of the .coms in the 90's. That said, compared to Obama and even Bush, Clinton was a successful presidency. Well, if you ignore his moral faults.
