So what did you think of The Who performance last night?

Postby Kevin on Mon Feb 08, 2010 9:14 am

I thought they were much better than the Rolling Stones, but am getting tired of seeing has been's thrown out for half time shows. I enjoy the music of The Who, but it was obvious they don't quite have it any more. I thought the vocals were very weak, but the musicality was pretty good still. The stage was probably the best part of the performance however.

Roger Daltrey genuinely looked like he was lip syncing several times... Pete was at least honest and seemed to enjoy singing with the crowd. The stage was pretty cool. I wish I could have played with them. 8-)

They really looked their age... but at least they looked like they were having fun out there.

As compared to the Stones who all looked dead when they did it a few years back.

I liked the show... but, that's me... the guy who is also somewhat aging :).

I thought too many folks out in Twitter land (monday morning musicians? Ya know as oppose to MMQB's) were being a little harsh about having The Who for the 1/2 time show.

I say ROCK ON!

The stage was COOL! Listening to the music was great...watching it was a little rough. How about some Aerosmith or KISS or Led Zepplin for 1/2 time???? Or maybe even Ken Verheecke and his 80's rock band, spandex and all???

Well defaintly one of the better performances over the last few years. Half time shows use to be the bomb when I was a kid, now they just overall kinda stink. But last nights was not to bad, sure they looked age, and may have been lip syncing. but like was noted they was having fun, and the stage was sweet!

We've had Aerosmith before. They were the very first halftime concert. Aerosmith and Britney Spears did the show together with a few other people. How about we move out of having concerts at all for halftime and find someone to do something original that you can't see anywhere else.

They used to have some really cool half-time shows during the Pro Bowl, when it was in Hawaii.
